Movie Loft presents “Dogs in Space”

Movie Loft gambols into June with a screening of the bonzer 1986 Australian flick Dogs in Space! A slice-of-life look at the 1978 Melbourne “Little Band” punk scene from director & writer Richard Lowenstein, starring Michael Hutchence of INXS as Sam, the frontman of the titular fictitious band.

Sometimes referred to as “the Nashville of Australian punk”, the film centers around a punk squat and its music and parties and drugs and outcasts. And the soundtrack is ace, with contributions from Iggy Pop, Boys Next Door, Primitive Calculators and more!

We’ll spin heaps of Aussie punk and rock, and grill some wieners, starting at 7. Movie to roll right around 8.
