Movie Loft’s filmed in the Carolinas series continues with a hixploitation meets blaxploitation action blast!

Movie Loft boogies through Leo season with a screening of the 1976 action blast Redneck Miller! It’s Hixploitation meets Blaxploitation as a Schlitz-pounding country music DJ (the Miller of the title, played by Geoffrey Land) has his motorcycle stolen and gets framed for lifting a shipment of drugs from local kingpin Supermack (Steve Jones).

Redneck Miller was filmed in and around the Queen City and Charlotte folks are encouraged to help identify sites. The flick comes from the same Mecklenburg County milieu and production group that unleashed classics like Preacherman & Hot Summer in Barefoot County, this yarn from director John Clayton is primo 70s Carolina sleaze. Freshly restored by Film Masters, Redneck Miller has never looked or sounded so choice. “He’s a good ol’ boy… but with a mean strike as wide as the Catawba!”
