Blake Hornsby + knives of spain + Crowmeat Bob

A must-see potent three-fer of North Carolina sonic originals!

Blake Hornsby is an experimental folk musician based out of Western North Carolina touring to support his new album A Village of Many Springs. “From sitar ragas to swirling sound collages and solo guitar meditations… You will never be bored.” – Record Crates United.

knives of spain  is 21st-century trobairitz Gwen Young on sitar, flute, guitar, accordion, synths, percussion, electronics, and voice.  knives of spain “braids aspects of folk and the psychedelic avant-garde, minimalism, electronic experimentation and sonic mood painting” into songs that are “…wide-ranging, with ominous thrumming and unsettled dissonances in some places, and lilting acoustic settings or hypnotic drones in others.” (John Adamian) With projections by GRRREG.

Crowmeat Bob is a Raleigh-based composer for many different kinds of ensembles. He plays in many bands and in improvised or otherwise situations with hundreds of musicians over the years. Most importantly, he provided sax for the John Goodman man-scaping scene in Righteous Gemstones.
