Cookie Tongue + “Cosmic Gorilla” premiere

The puppet troubadour returns with new songs and tales!

The New Orleans/Brooklyn entity known as Cookie Tongue slithers back to the Triangle to serve up quirky folk fairy tales, weirdo art band sounds, melodies, lyrics, and soundscapes woven together in a mystical, bewitching constellation. Taste a world just beyond. 

Kicking off the evening, Triangle puppeteers and animators Stella Rosen and Nyssa Collins present a multimedia feast, Cosmic Gorilla! Partially created at a Shadowbox residency in January, Cosmic Gorilla employs animation, giant puppets, and live music to weave the tale of the benevolent gorilla from outer space. She is responsible for the creation of all life on earth. But is she powerful enough to save humanity from itself?!
