J. Pavone String Ensemble / Polyorchard

Instrumentalist and composer Jessica Pavone, joined by Aimée Niemann and Abby Swidler on violas and violin, will perform music from their just-released third album on the Astral Spirits label, …Of Late. Pavone’s interest in repetition, song form, and sympathetic vibration manifests in the trio as collective improvisation that prioritizes a collaboratively sewn musical fabric, in contrast to the traditional improvisatory method that prizes the individuality and uniqueness of the soloist.
