Movie Loft presents “The Cowboy and the Frenchman” and “Hotel Room” + HDS clips

Movie Loft presents the 8th gathering of the year-long Harry Dean Stanton Appreciation Society, a screening series featuring some lesser-encountered movies that included the one and only HDS!

Harry Dean was a prominent and beloved presence and collaborator in the David Lynch world, appearing in six roles, including Lynch’s films ‘Wild at Heart’, ‘The Straight Story’, and ‘Fire Walk With Me.’

We’ll sample two lesser-known television shorts. First up, from 1988, ‘The Cowboy and the Frenchman’, made for French TV and also featuring Jack Nance! Second, from 1993, ‘Tricks’, the first installment of a three-episode mini-series called ‘Hotel Room’.

To accompany the shorts we’ll also partake of a block of assorted and sundry videos and clips featuring Harry Dean!

Hot dog grilling at 7 pm, movie at 8 pm. FREE, donations appreciated. BYO or sample what’s on hand.
