Movie Loft presents “Office Killer”

Movie Loft turkey-trots into November with a screening of Cindy Sherman’s 1997 comedy-horror Office Killer! Dorine (Carol Kane) toils at Constant Consumer magazine, and is forced to work-from-home due to budget cuts. But, she doesn’t quite know how to cope and soon the co-worker bodies start piling up in her basement.

Cindy Sherman’s lone feature-length directorial effort is in the vein of other 90s office flicks like Clockwatchers and Office Space, but mixed up with the recent home/office conundrum and proving that “working here can be murder”. Co-written by Todd Haynes, and also featuring Molly Ringwald and Jeanne Tripplehorn and Michael Imperioli, this one slays!

Hot dogs on the grill at 7, movie rolling just after 7:30. Distance and mask when appropriate, and be cool to your fellow moviegoers. This screening will be taking place OUTSIDE in the alley behind Shadowbox, with the movie rear-projected from within. We’re still figuring out how and when to get back in the ‘Box, so please bundle up for now.
