Beginning with a reception and interactive installation party, bring your appetites, your camera (or use one of the disposable ones at the event), and walk through the installations and take photos with your friends or even get a professional portrait by Sass. Check out the zines, the merch, the pillows. Reception will be followed by a few dance + sound collaborative performances inside the installations, culminating with a supremely chill living room dance party with VSPRTN.
About the zines: The two zines being released at the party are both photobooks by Matia Guardabascio featuring original photographs which contemplate and experiment with TEXTURE and LIGHT and CONTRAST and GRAIN. Each zine is handmade, hand numbered, ink stamped, and comes in an individually typewritten (on a typewriter) sleeve.
This event is hosted and organized by writer/zinemaker/photographer Matia Guardabascio (Secret Astronomer, Durham Beat).
