The Dance Show

A collaborative and experimental evening of dance!

George Barrett and Pavani Peri have been dancing for decades in their own respective styles. During a time when dancers are told to stay in their lanes, the duo have spent the past several months immersing themselves in each other’s art forms. Watch them move across styles, and explore how the two dancers hold space for different movement vocabularies in their bodies.

“The journey to get here was tough, requiring comfort with the unknown and the ability to laugh at ourselves as we tried something new. Throughout, we discovered differences, similarities, challenges, and joy in movement through sharing and trying on dance styles seemingly distant from our own.

Come join us for an evening as we showcase our choreographies across jazz, modern, contemporary, and Classical Indian Bharatanatyam styles!”
